WG Motors: From 57 to 92 in AI Search

Case Study · 7 min read · By Buzznerd Team

A 70-year-old International dealership in Peterborough, Ontario raised its AI Presence Score from 57 to 92 in about three months, beating the 90+ target it was promised.

Customers no longer just Google “truck service near me.” They ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, and those tools name one or two dealers. Winslow-Gerolamy Motors (WG Motors) had decades of real expertise. AI tools just couldn't read it. Buzznerd's AIO (AI Optimization) program fixed that without a new website, a new budget line or extra work for the dealership's team.

Scores from the full Buzznerd AI Presence audit, as of June 2026.

The challenge: real authority that AI couldn't see

WG Motors started at 57/100. The dealership had the expertise; the website didn't show it in a form AI could use.

The March 2026 audit found the site described its services in general marketing language. It lacked the structured, machine-readable detail AI tools rely on before they recommend a dealer:

  • Service page:

listed repairs, but not the diagnostic capabilities, International-specific expertise, emissions work or fleet programs behind them.

  • Parts page:

mentioned availability, but not OEM parts support, International compatibility or fleet ordering.

  • About page:

70 years of history and OEM credibility, written as a story rather than verifiable business facts.

  • No intent-based FAQs:

the questions buyers actually ask an AI tool weren't answered anywhere on the site.

The result: AI tools treated WG Motors as a fragmented data source. When a fleet manager asked “Where can I get International truck service and DPF cleaning in Peterborough, Ontario?”, nothing guaranteed WG Motors would be the answer, even though it was the obvious one.

Sound familiar?

Most International dealer sites are built on OEM templates designed for Google rankings, not AI answers. The service and parts pages are usually the thinnest pages on the site, and they cover the highest-intent questions customers ask.

The approach: turn expertise into answers AI can cite

Buzznerd ran a five-phase program on WG Motors' existing website. The dealership's only job was a short questionnaire and approving content.

  • AI Presence audit · March

Scored the site on four factors AI tools weigh: Entity Architecture (how deep the service and location pages are), Topical Authority (expert content), LLM Data Accessibility (machine-readable business data) and Intent Match (FAQs that answer real buyer questions).

  • Expertise capture · March

A short questionnaire drew out what makes WG Motors different: growth priorities, common customer problems, certifications, service area. Buzznerd's team turned the answers into content, so no one at the dealership had to write anything.

  • Page rebuilds · April–May

Nine core pages were rewritten with specific service detail, local relevance and intent-based FAQs. Forms and promotional sections were kept intact.

  • Authority guides · April–May

Five in-depth guides were written to establish WG Motors as a source of expert knowledge, not just a dealer listing.

  • Technical layer and indexing · May–June

Full JSON-LD structured data and FAQ schema, an upgraded llms.txt “source of truth” file for AI crawlers, internal linking and menu updates. All pages were resubmitted to Google Search Console. Launch: June 12.

WG Motors' AI Presence Score rose from 57 to 92 (+35 points), above the 90+ committed in the March proposal and above the 85 mark where dealers become far more likely to show up in AI answers.

What changed for AI tools. The site now spells out what WG Motors does, which International services it offers, which regions it serves and how customers reach it, all in a structure AI systems can verify. Every core page answers the questions buyers ask AI tools before they call, for example:

  • Where can I service an International truck in Ontario?

  • Who provides fleet maintenance near Peterborough?

  • Where can I get DPF cleaning for heavy-duty trucks?

  • What are the maintenance requirements for an International truck?

  • Where can I find heavy-duty truck parts in Central Ontario?

What it cost the dealership's team. One questionnaire, content approvals and a check-in call. Buzznerd handled the writing, development, schema, indexing and QA.

Proof in the service bay: a new customer, found through ChatGPT

whatsapp-image-2026-10-27-at-1.16.34-am.jpeg

The score is the leading indicator. The booking is the payoff. After launch, a customer who had never worked with WG Motors asked ChatGPT where to get DPF cleaning in the area. ChatGPT named WG Motors.

★★★★★

“A new customer contacted us to inquire about DPF cleaning after finding WG Motors through a ChatGPT search for services in the area. He proceeded to book with us the same week… with the potential for additional future business.”
WG Motors, after their AI optimization with Buzznerd

That customer came with no ad spend and no outbound effort. The program had built content for exactly this question: a rebuilt DPF Cleaning & Emissions Service page and a dedicated DPF maintenance guide. DPF cleaning is a recurring need, so one AI referral can become a long-term service relationship.

In the dealer's words

★★★★★

“You're doing a great job. We really appreciate your help.”
Erin Tardiff, Winslow-Gerolamy Motors

★★★★★

“I know that I had access to the back end … but I just always submit a ticket. You guys get it done so fast that I just let you guys handle it.”
Erin Tardiff, Winslow-Gerolamy Motors

The program was built to fit how a busy dealership actually runs: WG Motors approved content, and Buzznerd's team did everything else, backed by the same fast-turnaround support Erin already relied on.

Why this matters for your International dealership

If WG Motors needed help to be seen by AI, most International dealers do too. And the dealers who fix it first are the ones AI tools learn to recommend.

  • Service and parts are the easiest wins.

Questions like “DPF cleaning near me” or “International truck parts in [your city]” come from customers ready to book. Those pages are usually the thinnest on a dealer site.

  • It works on the site you already have.

WG Motors didn't rebuild its website or change its OEM program. The AIO work was layered onto existing pages.

  • It's built for International dealers specifically.

The content covers International trucks, Cummins diagnostics, OEM vs aftermarket parts and fleet maintenance, so it speaks the language your customers and the AI tools both look for.

  • It's a fixed-scope project.

A defined set of pages and guides, delivered on a clear timeline, with no surprises.

  • It's done for you.

One questionnaire and content approvals. No writing, no development, no extra headcount.

What's next for WG Motors

WG Motors is now moving to Syyonara, Buzznerd's commercial-dealer platform, with a redesigned homepage the dealership reviewed and approved. The plan is to carry the AI-optimized content over so the new site starts with that head start in AI search.
